World Environment Day – 2025

ARL celebrated World Environment Day 2025 with a renewed commitment to environmental stewardship, aligning with this year’s global theme, “Beating Plastic Pollution.” A week-long series of activities were organized to raise awareness and promote responsible environmental practices. Awareness sessions were conducted in nearby schools to engage young minds on the importance of eliminating plastic waste and adopting sustainable alternatives. Within the Refinery premises, various training sessions were held throughout the week to educate employees on emerging environmental issues and the significance of this year’s theme. On June 5th, an awareness walk was also arranged in collaboration with the National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC) and the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), Rawalpindi. The walk witnessed active participation from ARL employees, reflecting their dedication to collective environmental responsibility. In addition, a plantation drive was carried out to promote climate resilience and support long-term environmental sustainability. During the event, ARL and NCPC management delivered their remarks, emphasizing the importance of individual responsibility to tackle plastic pollution. These activities served as a reminder of the urgent need to reduce plastic consumption and encouraged employees and the community to adopt more sustainable lifestyles in support of a cleaner and healthier future.
